Cost-effective CAN adapter and PCinterface family for USB

The Ixxat USB to CAN ^V2 is the next generation of the successful Ixxat USB to CAN interfaces. Standard equipped with a single CAN High Speed channel, possibly supplemented by a second CAN High Speed channel, a CAN Low Speed channel and/or a LIN channel, depending on the selected device variant.
Thus, this family addresses a wide range of applications, both in industrial and automotive sectors.

Ixxat USB to CAN V2 Overview

By using powerful hardware and connecting over USB 2.0 Hi-Speed (480 MBit/sec), these interfaces achieve very high data throughput with minimum latency and low power consumption. This allows them to provide the reliable, loss-free transmission and receipt of messages in CAN networks at high transmission rates and bus load.
The messages are also timestamped and can be filtered and buffered directly in the USB to CAN ^V2.

Ixxat USB to CAN V2 Compact (RJ45)

Cost-effective variant with 1x CAN High-Speed. the CAN connection is implemented as a sub-D9 plug or alternatively as an RJ45 connector. This is the only version that is also available without galvanic isolation.

USB to CAN ^V2 Professional

Ixxat USB to CAN V2 Professional

Professional variant containing 2x CAN High-Speed channels, always supplied with RJ45-connectors and galvanic isolation.
Adapter cables to sub-D9 are included.

USB to CAN ^V2 Automotive

Ixxat USB to CAN V2 Automotive

Variant for automotive applications. Contains 2x CAN High Speed, of which one is switchable to CAN Low Speed (ISO 11898-3) plus 1x LIN to be used as either LIN-master or –slave. All channels with galvanic isolation.
Adapter cables to sub-D9 are included.

USB to CAN ^V2 Embedded

Ixxat USB to CAN V2 Embedded

A low-cost variant with an extremely compact design specifically for use in compact industrial PCs or similar embedded controllers. Only available with sub-D9 connector and galvanic isolation. Can be supplied with or without a bracket for a pc expansion slot.

Software
The standard Ixxat drivers for Windows and Linux (VCI and ECI), part of the delivery, support the new USB to CAN ^V2, permitting its use in existing applications with no need to modify software.
The module can also be used as a master node, e.g. for CANopen systems or in conjunction with the canAnalyser 3 for development, service and maintenance work. There are, however, additional software licenses required.
